Wassim Joseph Slaiby, also known as Wassim Slaiby, was born on November 16, 1972, in Ghazir, Lebanon. When Wassim was ten years old, his father passed away. 2002–2011: CP Music Group
Wassim Slaiby started his career as a musician after meeting a young fellow immigrant rapper, Belly. Belly was a freestyle rapper on Ottawa street in 2002. Wassim began to work as a manager with Belly, with whom he founded Capital Prophets Records. These records would go on to be known as the CP Music Group. Slaiby also hired Amir “Cash” Esmailian, who was also a friend of Belly. Esmailian was the head of street promotion for the label.
Rapper Belly and singer Massari were the first artists signed to the new record label by Wassim Slaiby.
